Pay back in few months and better economic results than expected

The analysis of the final data relative to 2017 showed the effectiveness of the Performance Monitoring interventions performed by Energy Intelligence in 2017

The payback-time of the investments was few months in nearly all the cases and in line with the identified objectives, while the economic return was better than expected in all cases, due to irradiation being higher than average.

Below are two cases worth mentioning as examples:

• PV tracking system (see case history) – increase in monthly average PR, calculated over 12 months, compared to the previous year of +20% - (+€96,000 additional income in a year)
• PV plant fixed on the ground - increase in monthly average PR, calculated over 12 months, compared to the previous year of +14% - (+ €67,00= additional income in a year)

In both cases, the solution allowed the customer to anticipate the hypothesised efficiency increase that should have been achieved with a 24-month program, in 12 months.

The results achieved confirm the existence of great efficiency increase potentials through optimisation interventions even in plants without serious anomalies. The adoption of Energy Intelligence systems allows these potentials to be quickly highlighted and to carry out the interventions, obtaining great improvements in the business-plan of the plants within a short period of time.
